DRY CLEANING AND PRESS ONLY

Quality Dry Cleaning

High quality cleaning of garments according to its specific manufacturer’s cleaning instruction followed by expert pressing and finished with our environmentally friendly, no paper or plastic, packaging. This cuts the usage of plastic and paper by over 80%! We never leave tags on your items. We remove all invoicing tags and never staple anything to your items. 

Your clothes will only be cleaned with organic solvents, it’s better for the world, and it’s better for you. 

Items are inspected before they are cleaned for pretreatment, during the cleaning process, and after the cleaning process. We inspect the general condition of your clothes, checking the manufacturer’s care instructions, noting the fiber content, looking for buttons or accessories, possible color loss, holes, etc. and note any special attention needed. If major repairs are needed, we will call to inform you of the charges and to see if you want it repaired, if it’s not previously arranged. Items requiring any type of special consideration are kept separate and receive a tag specifying those instructions: pre-spot, leather trim, special, etc. We prepare your items prior to cleaning as necessary for protection: covering buttons, securing shoulder pads, etc. Items are separated according to fabric type, color, and degree of soiling. Stain stickers are located inside each closet for you to identify any stains.

We replace all broken buttons with high-quality durable buttons.

We take out collar stays to prevent visible impressions on the collar.

Sweaters are carefully folded on a hanger.

Zippers are checked.  If it’s rough to zip, we put zipper wax on it.

Any lint remaining is carefully removed.

After all items are cleaned and pressed they are inspected again before leaving our store. If an item doesn’t pass inspection, it’s returned until our quality control inspector, Calley, is completely satisfied.

If shirts can be laundered, we will typically launder them, unless you specify otherwise, followed by expert pressing. We carefully inspect each item and follow the manufacturers recommended care instructions. We replace all broken buttons with high-quality durable buttons. Stain stickers are located inside each closet for you to identify any stains. 

TURNAROUND TIME: 2 business days for most orders. Rush Orders available. An additional charge will apply. Please note, you must place your items in a closet before 10am for rush service. Rush service will be delivered by 5:00pm the next day.

WASH & FOLD LAUNDRY

We understand you’ve got places to go and people to see. My Cleaning Closet will wash, dry and fold all your laundry for you. Just place your laundry into one of our closets and place your order.  We will pick up and deliver it back to one of our closets washed, dried, socks matched, folded into a neat square, and placed into your own My Cleaning Closet laundry bag. All You Have to do is Put Them Away.  A My Cleaning Closet laundry bag will be provided free of charge with the return of your first order.

ALTERATIONS & REPAIRS

Our seamstress has three decades of knowledge and experience. She gives us a unique advantage in providing alterations services. We are able to provide the most value per dollar spent by providing a satisfaction guarantee for every service provided. Simple alterations (hems, stitches, zippers): You can put simple alterations in the closet with instructions via email or text and we will do the alteration.

QUALITY SHOE SHINE & REPAIR

My Cleaning Closet offers quality shoe shine & repair services alongside our dry cleaning and wash & fold service. We replace heel tips, resole shoes, stretch, shine, and clean specialty shoes like UGGs. Just place your shoes in a closet, place your order, and we’ll make sure your shoes are ready to wear.

  • Q. What is My Cleaning Closet?

    My Cleaning Closet is introducing a modern, time-saving way to use a dry cleaner in San Diego. We’re placing My Cleaning Closets in residences, offices, gyms, and other convenient locations around San Diego County. We want people to dry clean on their schedule by allowing them to pick up and drop off when it’s convenient, so we’re open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

  • Q. Are there any special fees to use My Cleaning Closet service?

    No. You just pay for regular fees like at a typical cleaner and all the work is done for you. We like to say “we bring our store to your door”!

  • Q. Will I need anything special to use My Cleaning Closet?

    No. You just sign up for a free My Cleaning Closet account and log in with your closet # after dropping off your items.

  • Q. How do I sign up?

    Easy! Click “SIGN UP” at the top of this page and follow the steps to create an account. Alternatively, you can text “CREATE” followed by your e-mail address to 619-201-9862. For example, “CREATE philliprivers@gmail.com”. Please enter your name and payment information. After your first order, your information will remain securely on file and unless you tell us otherwise, that credit card will be applied to all future orders automatically. You must have a credit card on file in order for your order to be picked-up.

  • Q. Is there a minimum order amount?

    No minimum for dry cleaning items. With wash & fold laundry, there is a minimum charge, currently only $12.00. For shoe shine & repair there is a minimum charge of $10.00. No minimum for alterations & repairs.

  • Q. How do I tell you my cleaning preferences?

    You can input your starch, detergent, and other preferences in your online account profile. These preferences will be saved for all future orders and can be changed at any time.

  • Q. How do I give you special instructions or tell you about stains?

    All of our closets have stickers to mark your stains. We also carefully inspect each item of clothing at the time your order is inventoried. You may also text or email any special instructions.

  • Q. Where do the green and blue bags come from?

    Your first order will be returned to you in one of the two bags: green for dry cleaning and blue for wash & fold. These bags are free and yours to keep for dropping off future orders. They contain a card with your information to help keep track of your items. Our bags are environmentally friendly, no paper or plastic like at a typical cleaner uses. This cuts the usage of plastic and paper by over 80%!

  • Q. Nobody was there when I dropped off my items. Are they safe?

    Yes! The closets use a digital lock. Just make sure you lock the closet by using any a four digit code twice and turn the lock. The lockers are serviced daily by our driver.

  • Q. How do I notify you when I need items picked up and cleaned?

    Ideally you use or app, our website, or text your order to 619-201-9862. Please note, your items will be picked up on the driver’s next visit to the building but it might be delayed one day if we were not notified.

  • Q. How long does it take for the driver to pick up my items?

    Once you place your order, our driver is notified to make the pickup on his next round. Items placed before 10am will be picked up the same day. Closets are serviced daily.

  • Q. How long until my items are returned?

    Your dry cleaned and laundered items will typically be returned within 2 days, excluding Sundays. Shoes , alterations and leather items require a little longer time. 3 to 7 days.

  • Q. How will I know when my items are clean and back in a closet?

    You will receive a text or email when your items are delivered back to a closet.

  • Q. Do you provide same day or next day service?

    Next day service is available and provided for an additional charge. Please note, you must place your items in a closet before 10am for next day service. Next day service will most likely be delivered by 5pm the next day. We currently do not provide same day service

  • Q. What if my dry cleaning or laundry doesn't fit into one closet?

    While our closets have ample space, we’ll more than happily accept two closets full of your items.

  • Q. Can items left in the closet be mixed with another customer’s?

    No. Until you pick up your cleaned items only you and My Cleaning Closet have access to that closet.

  • Q. What should I do if my items were picked up from the closet before I was able to TEXT the closet number and place an order?

    Your items were picked up by our driver when he was in the building picking up or delivering items for your neighbors. Please just text us your closet number for your items.

  • Q. What happens if I’m out of town and I leave my items in a closet for a week?

    Don’t worry. We take your items after two days to our store location and send you a text or email to let you know. When you return simply text or email us you’re ready to receive your items.

  • Q. If I move to a new location serviced by My Cleaning Closet, do I need a new account?

    No. Once an account is created it can be used anywhere My Cleaning Closet is offered.

  • Q. How can I request My Cleaning Closet service to my building?

    Please fill out the request info and service form available on our main page and will contact you.

  • Q. Which plan will fit my needs?

    A standard washing machine holds 10-12 Lbs. Most people use about 30 Lbs a month. For 2 people, 60lbs/month is typical usage of wash & fold. If the plan you initially selected does not suit your needs, you can change your plan at any time. The new plan will take effect as soon as your current plan expires.

  • Q. Can I still request upgrades?

    You can still select any upgrades you like. Your base wash & fold will be included in your plan and any upgrades such as dryer sheets will be charged separately and billed to your account on a per order basis.

  • Q. Do the plans include special items such as comforters and pillows?

    These are not included in your plan and will be charged separately and billed to your credit card on a per order basis.

  • Q. Is there a minimum order size?

    We wash every customer`s clothes separately, each order is separated into at least two loads. For that reason we have a 12lb minimum order size. You can send in less, we will just deduct 12 Lbs from your available plan balance.

  • Q. What happens if I go over the pounds? Should you exceed the amount of your plan, you will be charged the standard per pound rate of $1.95 for any pounds over your plan.

  • Q. How long is the plan for?

    Your plan is for the term specified in your plan, from the date you sign up for the plan. After 11:59 pm on the end date, any remaining balance in your account will be removed (less any rollover).

  • Q. What happens when my plan expires?

    Your monthly plan will automatically renew at 11:59 pm on the end date of your plan. To cancel click on the button Turn Off Automatic Renewal.

  • Q. What if I don`t use all my pounds?

    As long as you are setup for automatic renewal, unused pounds, up to a maximum of the plan`s rollover pounds, will be added to the automatically renewed plan for the next month.

  • Q. Is there a cutoff date / time?

    All transactions are based on the day your order is picked up. If you place your order on the 15th, but it is not picked up until the 16th, and you plan expires on the 15th, your order will be credited to the next month`s balance.

  • Q. Can I combine my plan with other discounts?

    Our wash & fold plans are a great deal. They may not be combined with any other offers. Other discounts and offers will be applied to any charges not associated with your plan (upgrades, dry cleaning, etc.). Discounts may not be used to purchase wash & fold plans.

  • Q. Are dry cleaning and laundered shirts included?

    These plans are only for wash & fold orders. Dry cleaning and laundered shirts are charged per piece as part of our dry cleaning service.

  • Q. How do I get a refund?

    Sorry, but no refunds will be issued for partially or completely unused plans.

  • Q. How do I cancel my plan?

    Automatic renewal of plans may be terminated at any time by clicking the button labeled Turn Off Automatic Renewal. The plan will remain active until 11:59 pm of the last day of your plan, at which time your plan will not be automatically renewed.

  • Q. Are there any additional charges?

    Wash & Fold plans cover the cost of basic wash and fold. Any extra services, such as detergent upgrades, are additional and will be charged per order.
